When All Felt Lost, You Were Found

The light remained.

If I could effectively communicate anything to you in fullness and with feeling, it would be this:

He loves you.

The Lord loves you with an intensity we will never fully understand. When the world discarded, judged, and mocked you, He did not. When those called to love, support, and encourage you chose instead to misunderstand, sneer, and push you out of position, He covered you. When the fires would not quench, He became the fire within and all around you.

When all felt lost, you were found.

And that is where the journey truly begins.

But now thus says the Lord,
he who created you, O Jacob,
    he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
    I have called you by name, you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
    and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
    and the flame shall not consume you.
Isaiah 43:1-2 (ESV)
